It was recommended to me by Allison to drain and refill with a TES295 fluid such Mobil Delvac 1, drive 6 months, do another drain and fill and you should be good. I did 3 drain and fill cycles just to make sure. Allison prefers this method instead of flushing. Do not flush. Just do the drain and fill method and you should be good. I have not had any issues. **Q: Is fluid this approved for 4l60e and 4l65e hd gm transmissions that call for dexroniii/mercon?** A: Most likely not. I believe the hydramatic transmissions all are supposed to use Dexron VI fluid. This fluid can be used in the HD 1000 series Allison transmissions when following the correct fluid conversion procedure, but is not for the hydramatic transmissions. Use what is listed in your owner's manual, probably Dexron VI. **Q: Will this work on my 1993 Chevy g20 van** A: Depends on your transmission.
