I purchased the book for girls for our granddaughters so when our grandson was born I had to buy this! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great, But *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2013* I purchased this book after spending hours looking for a good devotional for the 3-6 years. I own 2 or 3 others, and I can say this is a very good find. Physically the book itself is beautiful; it’s excellent enough.I browsed over the contents and I was sold, so I bought the book. Son and I are happy. The contents talk about the basics of faith and moral values in very simple language, unlike the other books that might as well be read to kids 5 and up, but ‘recommended’ for 3-6. It helps that the font is bold and big, because if it’s a bedtime book it’s perfect.However I find the drawings hideous and neither my son appreciates them. The kids have overblown faces and arms, no necks, baggy pants, etc. There are a few pages where the illustrations are alright, though most are bothersome. The colors are vibrant and true, it’s only the drawings that annoy me, even my son is not the least interested in looking at the illustrations like he does with other books. You can see for yourself in the cover. Also there’s one illustration under the subtitle God Comforts You where the boy is inside the dog house looking out. If you’re okay with these, then that’s good, read on.There are some issues I have, too. Under the subtitle God Made Everything, the author mentions that “God made pebbles to skip across a pond.” I mean it’s just lame to be pointing out to my son the pebbles and announcing God’s creation when I could point out the gushing wind or some other more meaningful creation. And she repeats it in subtitle God loves You: “He made ponds that you can skim rocks over.” So that’s the purpose of the ponds? It goes on, “He gives you special treats like wiggly worms,” and I just cringed. God loves you and here are worms for you! Anyone?The one that I didn’t agree the most is under subtitle Talking to God. It’s mentioned 3x that “God wants to know…” This contradicts the Godly attribute of omniscience. If for instance I already know something and just wait upon the person to tell it to me, it’s because I would like the person to reach out to me.
