I cross referenced these against the oem plugs in a 2021 Mazda cx-9. Factory Mazda plugs are 26.00 each and the exact replacement NGK is 21.50. These are NGK laser iridium slightly different part number but the ONLY 2 differences are price and gap. These come pre-gapped at 1.1mm and Mazda needs .75. Prove wise…. 40.00 cheaper for NGK quality iridium and all I did was tighten the gap to.75mm Car runs FANTASTIC! I even asked Mazda about the part number and they confirmed no issue. Save 40.00. Gap them yourself! Review: So Far So Good - OEM for my Mazda CX-5. Installed effortlessly, and seem to work fine. Time will tell how long they last, or if I get better gas mileage/power, etc. They come gapped at .043, instead of .044, but that's within spec, and normal. On my Mazda 3, the torque spec (dry) was 10.8-14.5 ft-lb (depends on whether the engine block is steel or aluminum, mine is aluminum) Regarding dielectric grease, a small amount should be put on the porcelain region of the plug. Dielectric grease does not conduct electricity (never put it on the threads or distal tip). A small amount in the porcelain will prevent the spark from bypassing the proper route through the plug and arc over the surface. **Q: Are these the same spark plugs as the oem ones? part# pe5r18110?** A: They are the OEM original parts for my 2014 Mazda CX-5.
