## Description

desertcart.com : Polianthes tuberosa 'Tuberose' Single Bloom Bulbs / 5 Hardy Perennial Tubers that Produce Multiple Fragrant White Blooms in Early Fall by The Southern Bulb Company : Patio, Lawn & Garden

## Features

- The tuberose bulb is for zones 8-10 and will put on foliage the first summer; however, it may need to be planted for 1 full year before blooming in August or September of the following year.
- The tuberose flower is one of the toughest, most reliable bloomers in zones 8-10. They are in the same family as Agave.
- The foliage appears during the summer, and the sweet-smelling bloom begins to appear in July or August.
- Dry soil during the winter is preferable, and cold freezes can hurt them so plant accordingly. The tuberose can be planted in pots, but be sure to bring the pots in when the temperature drops to 35 degrees.
- Plant in full sun and well-drained soil in zones 8-10.
- The plant will be 2-3 feet tall with multiple small blooms on each stalk. Once well-established, the tuberose may bloom more than once during a single season.
- These are considered "single" bloom tuberose. There are 5 tubers per package.
- The pictures show how 1 small tuber had multiplied and has 6 stems growing from it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this accurate: 'We are now shipping these in four 4 inch pots. The tubers have been growing for over a year and are ready to bloom this year.'**
A: We were selling these in 4" pots. We have sold out of those now and are selling just the bulbs. It will take the bulbs a year in the ground before they bloom the following August/September.

**Q: Is this single or double tuberose? Some pictures are single ans some are for double? Also how old the bulbs are meaning have they bloomed before or ne**
A: Great question and we will clarify this on our product page. These are single tuberoses, and they will require a year of growth before they bloom.
