The pillow isnt all that thick. **Q: My daughter is around 3 ft tall would this be too small for her to lay on?** A: No. My son is taller than that and uses it just fine. **Q: Will this attach (e.g., have velcro) to the cots at daycare?** A: There are Velcro strips on the back of the mat to secure it close when rolled. I’m not sure if they’re in the right locations to attach to a mat. **Q: How thick is the mat in this?** A: Not very thick, thinner than an actual “sleep mat” but thicker than a towel. It’s like a sleeping bag.
