Just thread the shoulder portion of the seatbelt through it. For 28" and larger, there are tiedowns at the bottom of the kennel that require a rope to be run through it and then secured. That is typically more for truckbed or back of SUV use. **Q: Does the 24in come with screws?** A: Yes, plastic tabs with metal screw fastners.
