I think it would also be a struggle to cut through the metal. The track itself is made up of interlocking sections, so depending on the size you need, you may be able to leave a section out to make it shorter. **Q: Can the stopper go at the very end of the track? And how wide is the stopper? I needed doors to separate my kitchen from my lounge/dining room during winter to keep the heat in. I didn't want hinged doors as like how open plan the house is in summer. With the barn door track, I was able to install doors that slide and sit flat again the wall and out of the way when not in use. Very easy to install the track following the instructions included.The track is very strong, smooth gliding and quiet. Perfect width between door and wall, with enough sppace to avoid the door catching on the skirting board.
