I found this base on desertcart and decided to try it. It's sturdy, I didn't have to connect it to my piece of granite as it sits easily on top of the base and the granite is heavy enough that it does not slide off. It spins around very easily. Opened up package and found mark marks engraved into the aluminum from the white buttons. Not overly impressed with the noise when turning. I'd like the inside ring to point down and stationary and the outside ring to rotate** A: Shouldn't be a problem unless the bearings pick up more dust/particles. **Q: Can this be used on a glass patio table with a circular piece of glass on top, are there feet on both sides?** A: Yes, there are little, white, soft plastic feet around the rings on both sides. You could even remove the plastic feet and add some kind of a cushion on both sides of the rings or even just glue on pieces of cushion onto the feet. Maybe try some pieces of stick-on felt or the softer part of stick-on Velcro. This ring is built very heavy duty with lots of bearings. You cannot spin it by hand and expect it to keep spinning around several times freely, like a roulette wheel. **Q: Could i mount this to a chair to make it swivel?** A: I ordered the largest one. The object on top just rests on it, they don't attach via screws or anything. That means that a chair will slide around on it (a wood tabletop rests on top of rubber bumpers on the top of the lazy susan). **Q: How much force is required to spin the medium duty 8"? Will be returning product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by M***N on 13 July 2024* I used the 20" commercial model to support a 24-inch base that I put a 100lb bronze sculpture on top of. I removed the clear feet from the inner ring and screwed my base to it. It turns smoothly, and not overly freely (which is good when the goal is to be able to rotate a sculpture by hand and have it stay where you park it). It may not be apparent from the product diagrams, but there is a slight offset between the surface of the inner ring, and the surface of the outer ring. So if you fasten something to one of the rings with screws, it will have clearance to rotate; you don't need spacers. There will be about 1mm of clearance. This one is also a good value, it was under $30 compared to others that are over $40.
