## Description

ASSEMBLED IN THE USA – This Quick-Strut assembly is assembled with pride in Paragould, Arkansas from domestic and imported components

Review: So far so good - Second UPDATE about 10000 miles in: I investigated the squeaking. Not the struts! A big-brand shop that did my alignment didn't torque the toe bolt for the rear right trailing arm, found it completely loose and the whole trailing arm was shifting left/right about 15 degrees. So it was clunking and squeaking when turning/suspension cycling. Got that tightened up, another alignment done, and the struts continue to be completely quiet! UPDATE about 9000 miles in: The rears have started creaking when cold out or when cycled hard. Ride is fine still, so it's getting ignored. Replaced all 4 struts with Monroe Quick-Struts on a 2007 CRV with ~160k miles. The rears were sagging pretty badly and noticeably cambered out. Would bounce and rebound over speed bumps with no load, and was like a rollercoaster with 4 people in it when hitting a whoop on the highway. Here's the deal with the installs: The fronts were pretty easy. Mind you, I did all of this on a 2-post lift. The rears sucked. Good luck doing them with a floor jack on jackstands. You'll need to have the lower control arm completely disconnected from the unibody front mount, and even then you'll have to pull down on it past maximum droop to give you enough room to get the bottom of the strut out and angled enough to pull it out. The new struts have to go in the same way, from the center of the vehicle up into the mount tunnels, so you'll be laying underneath the center of the car installing them towards the outside. Make sure you watch a couple tutorial videos before you undertake this. Otherwise they're great so far. Those that are dealing with noises probably didn't settle the struts in before torqueing the bolts. The bottoms don't really matter, but the top mounts do. Once they're installed, put the vehicle on the ground and bounce the suspension a bunch and roll it a little back and forth to get them settled, then torque the top mounts in. Do the fronts like you would lugnuts, and the rear you should do the same for the brace plates inside before you torque down the flange nuts. You WILL need at minimum a front-end alignment after these. Mine went from fine (recently aligned) to very bad toe out. I drove it that way for about 50 miles to further let everything settle, then got it aligned. Camber is great again in the front and especially the rear, and with new Moog swaybar links and bushings it drives like new.
Review: Perfect fit to Honda crv 2008 - Fit perfect to Honda Crv 2008. Easy to install. It is package in a generic box but looks well made, I hope It has long lasting.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: its this one the right side since its not detail on the page**
A: This is the front right for a 2007-2014 Honda CR-V.

**Q: Are these Tier 1 parts?**
A: I've been a mechanic for over 40 years. I'm not sure of what specifics you are looking for with respect to a particular part being considered for a particular tier. In reference to the Monroe 272491, I can say it is manufactured with state-of-the art design and components for a premium replacement part. It is unlikely that this exact number is being supplied as OEM. However, Monroe supplies many OEM's with parts for vehicle production. This is not true of the generic, cheaply made imports. Premium replacement parts often perform better than the originals. So, if tier 1 means: 'as good as, or better than OE' , then this part, 272491 qualifies.
I replaced front and rear on this vehicle and was very impressed with the performance - quiet, smooth ride and yet increased stability.

**Q: Anyone need to tighten the middle rod nut when installing these or are they factory tight?**
A: I believe they were factory tightened as a unit. In fact, I remember a sticker that said don't mess with this at risk of personal injury.

**Q: Does front right mean front passenger side?**
A: As long as your vehicle is left hand drive this unit would be for the passenger side.
