Review: They work well - First, they do what they are designed to do and they do it well. If you have issues starting or breaking the channel off in the wall, it is because the bolt was cross threaded and or you tried to screw it in to fast. Back thread the bolt and when you hear or feel the "click" of the threads drop into place, hand tighten for several turns. Then use a drill driver or impact wrench to draw it up tight. Still, occasionally the back surface will not be coplanar and then it can be a pain, Just don't pull the zip ties so tight and leave some wiggle room. Some times even then, it might a mess. Such is life. It happens. Buy good bolts. Cheap bolts don't help. Sometimes a channel might have bad threads, but usually it is crap from the hole getting into the threads that screws me up. I use 100's of these things. If there is an issue, I've usually caused it, but not always... These things save me time and money.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be used with Plaster walls?**
A: Definitely, although you'd need to do it carefully. You want to avoid splitting the lathe boards behind the plaster, so a nice sharp bit is a good idea. Then insert the Toggler, and make sure the metal "nut" part of it is vertical - that gives it a better chance of catching a couple of different lathe boards. If the lathe splits and you put the metal but horizontally, it could be much weaker. Plaster is not nearly as strong for this sort of thing as drywall would be, so getting a good grip on the lathe is critical. You'll also need a longer fastener than you would with drywall.

**Q: whats the diff between ba and bb designition?**
A: BA indicates 3/16",  BB indicates 1/4"

**Q: I received these and tried to use them but they break off behind the wall where the plastic attaches to the anchor. Anyone know why?**
A: You push the toggle in the hole, open it up, pull it back tight and then slide the plastic sleeve down until it is tight against the sheetrock on the outside and then carefully snap the excess strips that are sticking out on the outside and then you get your bolt and screw into it.  We have put in hundreds of these that hold up hundreds of pounds and never had one break off.  Hope this helps.  Make sure you are drilling the size of hole they recommend to slip the toggle through.  If the hole is too small, it binds the plastic in the sheetrock.

**Q: are these same quality as ones made by hilti?**
A: HILTI just buy from them and put them in a red HILTI box (and increase the price of course); you can read on top of the HILTI box "TOGGLER(r) = Worldwide Registered Trade Mark of Mechanical Plastics Corp"

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Why no bolts

I use these toggle bolts all the time, there is a certain way to install them that comes with experience so that you don’t waste too many. My gripe with this particular offering is that it DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 1/4 x 20 BOLTS. Why? I get that the onus is on me to thoroughly read all the disclosures including the tiny one about not including bolts. Everyone of these that I have purchased to this point or have been client provided have included matching bolts. It was quite frustrating to be working on an installation at 10 PM and pop this open only to find out you’re missing half of what you need to use the product. It makes no sense. I guess the difference is $8 in price for bolts based off purchasing the “same” product two months prior? Please stop even offering the version without bolts, it’s not worth the frustration and time running around to find a piece of equipment necessary for the product to fulfill its ultimate function. Other than that, great product use them all the time.
