Three star rating is because of 3 minor issues. 1. The holster arrived "smashed" almost flat on the muzzle end, guessing it was in a large pile or something the at factory being it shipped in a stiff clear package that was undamaged. This issue made the holster very difficult to break in due to the stiffness of the holster. 2. When the firearm is fully seated in the holster the muzzle protrudes about 1/4" and when using this holster the bare steel of the muzzle will touch your skin if you don't tuck in your shirt, but you want the holster to touch skin as it aids in keeping it in place. 3. The steel belt clip is quit a bit thinner, as in not as wide as my other brands of IWB holsters but it seems stronger in gripping a belt. My only complaint is that it's very snug, and even after a couple months of staying in the holster it hasn't stretched or loosened up yet. I haven't trid to put any softner on it yet, that would probably help. As of right now, I don't feel confident in my ability to quickly draw my pistol, but the quality of the holster itself seems to be great. I have a S&W M&P .40 in the holster, and I have to put a thumb over the top of the slide to keep it from pushing back when I insert it into the holster. Another thing is the clip itself is very rigid and locks tight onto the belt. Very Comfortable as I am currently wearing this holster over 12+ hrs per day. Easy to re-position were I need it. End of Mag sits just above the belt line for a very confident draw. This holster paired with a Heavy Duty Bison Belt is a perfect match.CONS:Only reason it received a 4 star is the metal belt clips is weak and has already been stretched out and I've had to bend it back.
