You risk wrecking the screen door and/or pulling out or bending the handle. Installation isn't difficult per following the instructions, but key is measuring the door and opening properly. Need to get ends properly placed so screws will go into door like other screws already in the door and making sure when door is closed the bracket won't hit the door frame.
