Perhaps an adjustable height bed would have eliminated that issue. However, the snap on strap made removing the cushion and reattaching it easy, and I was pleased it could be adjusted tightly enough for him to slide off easily, but unfortunately he just couldn't get back up onto his chair with this cushion attached. If your Mother can stand up, or if she has an adjustable height bed it might be okay, but since she's only 4'11" I'd be concerned the added height of the cushion would make her seat a bit high for her too. It was the most comfortable and certainly the most secure of all the cushions I purchased for him so if you can make this work for her it's worth every penny! **Q: Is the cushion slippery on top?** A: My 82 yo father wears denim or cotton trousers and sitting directly on this cushion does not seem to slide on it. **Q: Can this be used for the back of wheelchair?** A: The cushion would fit across the back of a wheelchair, but it is very firm. It is not contoured for use against a person's back and I do not think it would be at all comfortable. **Q: Is the cover removable to wash when needed?** A: Yes ## Frequently Bought Together - Secure Wheelchair Gel Cushion with Safety Strap - 18x16x3 Inch - Gel & Foam Orthopedic Chair Pad - Decubitus Ulcer & Sciatica Pain Pressure Relief & Comfort for Seniors - Drive Medical Blue Streak Lightweight Wheelchair with Swing-Away Footrests and Flip-Back Arms, Portable Folding Wheelchair for Adults and Seniors, 18 Inch Seat - CYLEN Ifoam Gel Infused Memory Foam Layer Wheelchair Cushion - Seat Cushion for Wheelchair-Office Chair, Kitchen Chair, Car Seats-Pressure Sore and Tailbone Pain Relief-High Dense Polyfoam Base(Black) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/405804565-secure-safety-solutions-gel-foam-seat-cushion-with-strap-wheelchairs](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/405804565-secure-safety-solutions-gel-foam-seat-cushion-with-strap-wheelchairs) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
