### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great book, Tony supplies the knowledge and you add the effort and heart.....
*by G***. on February 19, 2014*

No, I am not a P90X vet, extreme athlete, etc. I'm just a guy in his 50's getting back in shape and I think the average person will benefit from this book. Informative, well written, pics are good and explained well. Some reviews knock the book for being a dumbed down book version of P90X, I don't get it? It's not, I bought the P90X dvd program and unfortunately I was not in shape to take on the program, as my fitness improves I will get there. Back to the book, the book is many ways motivational and educational, one could put together their own program to suit them from the many different exercises in the book.An added bonus is the nutritional advice and recipes(like having a coach) In time they could follow the circuits in the book as their fitness allows! I have lost 30 lbs so far and am shooting for 50. I work out on a elliptical, recumbent bike, total gym, body weight exercises, rebounding, hiking, and assorted dvd programs to keep it fresh(just bought T25) This book is just another weapon(tool) in my arsenal. my fitness level has shot through the roof and have items, programs like this to further me in improving the quality of my life and become a example to family and friends. Great book!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get It!
*by D***E on January 6, 2011*

As a life long endurance athlete, scientist and clinician I have been through many workout regimens and have worked with some excellent national coaches with multiple philosophies. I came late to the Tony Horton world but I have seen changes in my strength and endurance in a shorter period of time than with any routine I've ever used. At age 59 I travel a great deal and on a recent trip I forgot my Power 90 DVD so I checked the Kindle store and found "Bring It!" I assumed it would be a regurgitation of routines from P90x but I underestimated the author. This is a solid exercise, diet and lifestyle philosophy presented in a very readable and doable form. With 3 different levels of exercises and multiple routines from which to choose it is easy to customize a plan for yourself quickly. The exercises can be performed in a small space with resistance bands making it perfect for traveling. On my Kindle app on iPad I stood it on it's side and moved easily through the routines.Personally, I feel this is an excellent book for athletes of all levels seeking to improve their strength, balance and stamina. However, I caution the reader not to just go to the exercises, pick out the ones that look right for you and start doing them. Rather, read the whole book and enjoy the overall philosophy of a healthy lifestyle from a guy who has been doing it his whole life, Tony Horton. You'll be glad you took the time to do it!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ High on the What's and How's; Low on the Inspiration
*by H***J on December 27, 2010*

For avid P90X disciples, a fitness book from Tony has been on many a wish list. So with great delight I downloaded it as soon as it hit shelves this Christmas. Wasn't looking for radically new exercises beyond those I already know and do, but was mainly hoping to learn more about Tony himself, beyond his screen presence as an amiable but very demanding, and inspiring drill-seargent. In that regard, the book comes up a bit short on the inspiration front, and is rather academic, focusing on the mechanics of exercises, which expectedly is hard to convey via static pictures. Yet, the book does deliver a holistic approach to fitness that knits all the disparate elements of health together in a logical, smooth sense. Tony could have done a bit more of what he does best - Inspire! Perhaps shared more anecdotes from his life that the average reader could relate to (downhill extreme skiing is not the best example to use for a large demographic, although the storytelling there was compelling). To connect and convey to the broader spectrum of readers , it would have been more relevant and real to describe more commonplace anecdotes (perhaps how he battled and overcame injury if we was injured, ways to stay motivated to exercise, etc). There are some real jewels in the book though that compensated my time and money investment several times over. The first is about the notion of exercising daily, the second is Tony's approach to nutrition (including giving up caffeine, sugar, gluten, alcohol, animal products), and the third is his advice on supplementation. Tony's coverage of those three subjects are excellent and thorough. For readers looking to push themselves to their next level of personal fitness, Tony's guidance there those should pose a challenge no less demanding than the P90X program itself. Overall, still a must have reference book for your bookshelf, electronic or hardcopy.
