At first I wasn't impressed. When I pressed down too hard the machine would stop. Then I realized that grinding the nail down with a light touch taking off layers1 did a pretty good job. My nails grow upward because of a nail fungus I got from a nail salon years ago. So they are extra hard.This machine did the trick.
