I don’t think it destroys the effectiveness of the product. It can be made back into powder in a blender or food processor. Amazon's descriptions seem to be getting sloppier these days, my pet peeve is describing the BOX it comes in instead of anything USEFUL like the dimensions of the actual PRODUCT. **Q: Is this this a loose powder or is it capsuled?** A: Loose powder, not the capsules. **Q: The product is listed as a powder, but capsules are in the ingredients list. Which is it?** A: It's powder. Vegetable capsule is made of vegetable cellulose. Not sure why it's listed in the ingredients.
