I personally have pretty big hands, and I have no problem holding this. I can also walk and chew gum at the same time. Yes, the opening to fill it is small (again, just like in the photos). That’s why it comes with an adorable yet functional scoop. As long as your hands aren’t shaking from too many wine coolers last night, you should have no trouble loading it. It can hold a decent amount, but yeah you’ll have to refill it more often than your Costco grinder. I like to load just enough for each use so that I can switch up my peppercorns as I go. 2. Construction: Yes! The bottom comes off! That’s what it’s supposed to do. You know, so you can get to that pepper that you just ground.
