They aren't made on a plastic housing. The housing is made of metal and it's construction is very durable. You pay for what you get and my expectations were far surpassed, after I hooked them up to my vehicle and had used them for a couple of weeks. You will be very impressed with the quality and especially there not being a need for a load resistor attached to the lines, to solve the hyper-flashing issues, related to LED turn signals. 5 STAR QUALITY and a 5 STAR PRODUCT!!! ### ⭐⭐ Plug and Play. NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH *by N***K on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 28, 2018* Installed these on a 2018 Kenworth T680. These bulbs definitely live up to not hyper flashing. However, they're not bright. You can't even tell they're on from far away. You have to get close to the headlight in order to actually see if they're flashing. I remember backing into a spot and the yard driver couldn't tell whether I was backing up or stationary. Overall, I honestly don't recommend this bulb. I like that its plug and play.
