There is no fix for this and the system needs to be redesigned. Warning: This housing is completely unusable and will never seal ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Housing for the R5 *by A***R on July 23, 2022* On a whim I decided to purchase this underwater housing for my Canon R5 because the other housings were out of my budget. I was VERY nervous about it, but I had an upcoming trip to the Galapagos with a lot of snorkeling and really wanted quality underwater videos. I also purchased the air pump to test for leaks before every dive, waiting 30-45mins for the green light to remain on. I put the lubricant grease around the rings to seal them properly and did multiple tests before placing my camera underwater. It worked flawlessly the 6 times I used it. Super easy to use, and all the buttons worked. AMAZING!!! Perfect for snorkeling/free dicing, not sure I'd risk it with waves. The seller included extra seal rings and lubricant, highly recommend but, of course, its always at your own risk to put your camera underwater. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fixed: Unable to mount lens tube to housing *by D***H on April 18, 2022* Update:The reseller worked closely with me to resolve the 2 issues I ran across. One being the tab, now removed, and another being a missing rubber piece in the zoom ring. The seller sent me 2 new zoom rings and explained a design change between the lens housing and the body that made the weird notch no longer necessary.The housing did admirably in my scuba diving in Hawaii. Just make sure you follow the o-ring lubrication instructions and wash off the housing with non-salt water when you’re done. I also bought the pressure test kit and that will give you piece of mind when housing your expensive SLR and lens in it. Just don’t forget to put the test plug back when done testing. Like, seriously, somehow leave it so much in plain sight you don’t forget it.Previously:The lens tube and housing came separated. The first image shows the problem. That protrusion looks to be “on purpose” but prevents the lens tube from locking on because it runs into the gears used in the zoom control (second image). Third image shows what happens if I really loosen the gear and allow that protrusion to keep moving to the point the lens tube is locked to the housing but it’s under the gear and the gear is now skewed and too high to interact with the zoom ring.
