A: 10-12 Chiles

**Q: what is the shelf life ?**
A: Mine have lasted a long time.  Being dried peppers I feel they almost have an infinite shelf life.  I guess over time they might lose some flavor.

**Q: Can you tell me if the plant equipment also processes tree nuts?**
A: The answer to your question is in the product listing. Quoting the label, “...processed with equipment also used for peanuts, tree nuts, wheat and soy.”

**Q: Are these sun dried?**
A: They are dried but you would probably have to ask the manufacturer if they actually sun dried them.

Excellent chilies peppers use them in my Christmas tamales this year. Great tasting sauce very fresh chili pods, darken the sauce to make it richer, smoky taste, not dry and crunchy like the ones in the store.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow! These are amazing!

I couldn’t find anchos in my local store for a while so purchased these ones, but while I was waiting for them to arrive my store restocked so I grabbed a pack of the supermarket brand and when the 1400s Anchos arrived I did a taste test to see if the extra cost on these was worth it. I can say with a resounding YES that the 1400s anchos blew the store brand out of the water! Right out of the pack the1400s Anchos are far softer and more pliable making it easier to deseed them without dry fragments and seeds flying all over your kitchen. Aroma wise these have an intense wonderful rich dried fruit smell compared to the store brand which had much less aroma, and were a little sour smelling. Flavor wise the 1400s were sweet-sour ending in sweet earthiness with a rich full flavor. The store brand had very little sweetness just a strong sour flavor. Hands down the 1400s Ancho chiles were superior in every way making the price difference worth every penny! No more grocery store Anchos for me!
