The machine is an older model and was in the house when I first bought it. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to replace the element and the sensors to build knowledge and confidence. The replacement was not difficult and could literally save you hundreds of dollars, as it did me. My advice is this: First, disconnect the dryer from the wall outlet before attempting any type of repair. Work on one sensor at a time. Take your time, as speed is not as important as accuracy. Do not remove more than one wire at a time. What I did was remove the sensor first with wires still intact. (They are attached to the dryer by one zip screw) Then I installed the new sensor, reconnecting each wire individually to its corresponding contact post. This takes the guesswork out of which wire goes where, as some wires are similar in appearance. For the heating element, it's held in place by two zip screws, and once removed, the element can be wiggled down from its housing. Installation is the opposite of removal. Before you make your purchase, take the back off your dryer (remove plug first) and check to see that the parts on your machine are the same as the ones sold in the package. They should be an exact match.
