Guinness should only be served in a Guinness glass **Q: Does it work with the US cans that arent nitro surge without hammering a pin in the top of the can?** A: So I have used it using the pin and without. The point of the pin is to prevent the activation of the widget by venting the can. This does give you the denser, creamier domed pint when poured. Without venting using the pin method, it’s like re-agitating what the widget just did, and you don’t achieve the same result. Venting with a pin and using the Nitrosurge does give you a better pint than just cracking the can or using the Nitrosurge without the pin method.
