EBOOT 30 Pieces Photoresistor Photo Light Sensitive Resistor Light Dependent Resistor 5 mm (5539): desertcart.com: Industrial & Scientific

Review: Works great with an ESP32 controller. - I heat my well house in the winter with a 60 watt light bulb. I've been using an ESP32 in the well house to transmit the temperature to my network. I've just added this photoresistor to monitor the status of the light bulb. If the light should be on and the photo resistor doesn't detect the light, it will send me a text message.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the dark resistance?**
A: Under a bright halogen lamp they range between 300-500 Ohms, in a poorly lit room (eg light of my monitor and photoresistor not directly illuminated but enough light to see) they range from 1 to 10 M Ohms then increase to 12-15 M Ohms and higher in darker parts of the room. When completely darkened with my meter on the 20M Ohm scale the resistance increases until my meter no longer can provide a value, so > 20MOhm.

**Q: Will this work on a 12v 1.3ah battery**
A: It says in the info about it 150 volts is the maximum. I would say 12v should be fine. If not contact the vendor.
I use them for Arduino or ESP32 or ATTINY85/13. I need to do more testing with them. I tried using them a few days ago and it didnt work. I need to play with them more to find out what I was doing wrong. These devices only output 5 volts so that could be the issue i am having.

**Q: Will these work in a 28 VAC circuit ?**
A: Maximum wattage is 100 mW so 28 Volts (AC or DC) under a bright light would probably destroy them.

**Q: will these detect red laser light?**
A: First off this product says it is manufactured by a company called “eboot”. They not an electronics parts manufacturer of any kind. You may want to contact them for the REAL manufacturer’s name and part number so that you can find the devices response to the laser. Your other option is to build a circuit and experiment with your laser perhaps using a LM339 voltage comparator etc

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Work Great!
*by S***N on August 9, 2018*

They work great. I messed the first one up when my soldering iron was too hot, but I learned my lesson and lowered the temperature on the second one. Good that this is a big bag, so I can mess up 29 more times! They work great on the breadboard too. For my application with Arduino Nano, each 22K resistor added between 80-100 points to the analog input signal (1023 max). So I had to add at least 6 resistors, to get a 1.0 in the digital port. I will add a 250K variable resistor (potentiometer) to my board next time to make adjustments easier.
