The bed assembled easily otherwise and I did it all except for the headboard. I am 64 years old and able to handle the rest of the assembly myself. It's a fairly cheap experience unfortunately but overall this bed has grown on me and I like how it looks. I made the bed by myself with ease... and I'm not all that handy with this kind of thing but it was pretty easy for me to do by myself. I was concerned about the quality and whether or not I was going to like how it looks. It took a few days for me to be fully satisfied with how it looks. The pillows are thinner than what you would expect in the photos and I was dismayed by that as well... the color was darker than I thought too but all of these concerns were allayed in a couple days time. The cheap hinge mechanism and the creakiness I'll just have to deal with I guess. That's why I took a star off.
