Could a child easily pull it off?** A: We put this over a cloth tablecloth. It did not slide very easily. It does seam to be a bit "tacky" to the touch so I doubt it would slide very easy. **Q: is this oval or rectangular? This is very heavy, has a great fall and does not wrinkle once it is set in place. This fits our 6-person dining room table with a good amount of overhang, and there is a slight edge finish to it that makes it better than just clear plastic. It lays flat easily with few if any wrinkles. Heavy enough not to wrinkle. Use hot pads for anything more than a warm plate.
