The pump will work very well, as long as there is strong sunlight. When I would let part of my shadow cover part of the solar panel, the pump would shut off. Even on a sunny day, if there are some clouds, the pump will not work. I was expecting the pump to work well, beings I live in FL and we have A LOT of sunlight, but this device requires CONSTANT DIRECT sunlight to power. Sadly, I had to return this item after 2 days. If the item was powered better and had some sort of battery to store power for when there is not direct sunlight, this would be a perfect product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great! The "pump" is the same as the one in my automatic cat fountain. And, the panel, despite being shown propped up in the pictures like normal solar panels, comes with no legs or poles. So unless you want to spend time or money that this thing doesn't deserve DIYing, you have to lay the panel flat on the ground, where obviously a plethora of problems arise, especially when waterfowl are introduced into the mix as in my pond. Oh, and the cord is not long at all.
