I've purchased small & medium sizes for my small & medium heels, as per the size chart. The medium size fits my small heels while the small size fits nothing at all! The xx small was way too small the x small Was too tight I was worried about damaging the shoes considering it was my wedding shoes. Should I size up or down?** A: If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing down for a snug and secure fit. And to remove the STOPPERS, gently twist while pulling (similar motion to uncorking wine). Gently pull and be careful not to pull off the rubber heel tip. **Q: Are these rubber or plastic?** A: I'm not sure. I think the part that goes over the heel is rubber & the little "platform" on the base is plastic. Just a guess. It doesn't say anywhere on the package. **Q: Does it contour to square heels?** A: Yes, STOPPERS contours to any heel shape, including square.
