I do not think these can be substituted as a meal and I would not recommend drinking them after 2pm unless you want to stay awake all night. I don't know what ingredient is causing me to have so much energy but it works almost too well. If I substitute them for 7am breakfast, I am hungry by 10am. If I substitute them for 12pm lunch, I am hungry by 3pm. So not sustainable energy but good as a snack or something to hold you over. I live in the 120-130lb range so I don't need it as a replacement to help with weight but I did want it when my mornings or afternoons got chaotic with work and I might not have time to eat. The other added benefit is it has helped with my pH balance so that I no longer have a smell and minimal smell if I sweat.A little pricey so I don't feel like I can afford to have a full 2 scoops every day but it's good to keep around when needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... this for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! I ordered the chocolate and vanilla and both are pretty tasty. If you use the recommended amount of 8 oz of liquid, it does tend to be a bit thick. I usually add about 4oz of water to the container to avoid this. I have also blended it with frozen fruit and a small amount of ice to make an actual shake. It is not as gritty as I thought it would be. I've used another vegan protein powder and thought that Gnarly's powder is definitely not as gritty. It also does not have a strange aftertaste like some shakes. I have lost a few pounds by replacing 2 meals with shakes. I have not experienced any digestive issues and really like that this shake has a few more vitamins and minerals that others do not.
