Kids go in and out a lot and I need something extra to keep the indoor cats from escaping** A: Hard to say. It’s pretty sturdy, but you have to make sure the bottom closes. The magnets are strong but once in awhile the very bottom magnet doesn’t close. It’s Maybe 3” or so. If you tap the screen it connects. So depending on how aggressive the cat is to go through. **Q: My door frame in my patio is 36x72. Can this be cut shorter since it's 82" tall (9" too tall for what I need). Can't seem to find shorter.** A: They do make them for patio doors try and search for the type of door that you need it for.
