Beard oil with help promotes growth and soften the beard and skin. Bear oil goes a long way and you beard is very short in comparison to mine. I would say it’s never too early and this scent is lovely and you will get compliments on the scent or at least I always do when I am using it. If you plan to have a healthy beard I would suggest you also get a beard wash. Cremo also has a beard wash in the same scent. You don’t want to use regular shampoo on your beard believe it or not your beard hair is different from you hair on your head and it needs more nourishment then the hair on your head. A couple of years ago, I was walking down an aisle at the drug store, looking for some way to condition and soften my increasingly graying “girl beard” and I bought Cremo oil thinking if it can work for men’s beards then why can’t it work on other hair. I tried it and I’ve been using it ever since. It immediately softens and conditions and smells incredible. I’m sure that Cremo never envisioned it being used this way but, then again, it all depends what or who’s “beard” you’re talking about doesn’t it? Just saying.
