I saw these and they work well so far. they do have a bit of a plastic sound but nothing that bothers me more than the feathers. they open wide enough to get the pillow in without causing damage.Update..I Had a friend coming in from out of town last minute and needed to wash the pillows. Normally I take the cases off, I did not do that this time. The feathers stayed inside this protector case. If I wash them without it it's all over my washer, all over my dryer, all over the floor..
