I placed Zed on the 4 level (mimics car acceleration) and the little fella went straight to sleep. We now use it every night to help him sleep. It is not necessary to have it on all night. You can leave it for the 1 hour it lasts or just shut it off when baby is in deep sleep (which is what I do). I am about to buy my second Zed just to have 1 in the crib and the other to use while out of the house. Baterry does last, but it can feel it goes by pretty fast. I would strongly recommend to always have extra batteries and a screwdriver in handy just in case. I contacted Rockit who graciously sent me an open box replacement for the cost of shipping. This one lasted about 3 weeks. Keep in mind the vibration has an auto-off feature so in general it saw about 3 hours of use daily at maximum. Lasting 6 months would be the absolute minimum I could handle. Less than a month is inexcusable.
