He is undergoing work up for why he’s dragging his paw, but in the meantime we needed a solution to prevent excessive wear to his toe nails. A boot was not realistic for all day wear. His paw would get too sweaty and might develop skin breakdown.These caps have worked beautifully. I trimmed the open end so it would fit his claw better and not rub the skin at the base of the claw. In the pic, the middle two toe nails are capped. The shiny one I just applied today. The scuffed one I applied 4 days ago and it’s still firmly affixed to his nail without much wear.I ordered XL and XXL in case. XL is for 20-40 lbs, XXL is for 40-70 lbs according to the included instructions. Scout is a 50 lb Shiba Inu mix, but has dainty paws. The XXL was way too big. The XL worked perfectly after a trim.
