Will break *by M***M on September 5, 2024* I loved this rack for the first 5 days. My boyfriend has a tiny coat closet in our bedroom (yes I have the larger closet but it is still small), so we got him this rack to hold his shirts. At first it did fine and then after 5 days it started to bend and fall over. My boyfriend made some DIY adjustments to keep it alive. Those lasted until last night. Last night we were watching tv and the whole thing randomly fell over. Well… this is what it looks like now with all the clothes that fell in the background. Not going to lie, he had a lot of clothes on it but I never assumed that would be a problem since the description says “heavy duty” and he wasn’t hanging coats or anything on it.. just t-shirts and light weight merino wool sweaters. After lots of searching and digging I found out this is only rated to hold up to 80lbs… that is the lightest load I’ve ever seen any clothing rack rated. Usually they are at least 120lbs. It’s a bummer because it is a nice looking rack and it worked well with our bedroom decor.. but it isn’t worth it. Save your money and just invest in a stronger rack, unless you plan on only hanging 10 t-shirts.
