Grant; Major General William Tecumseh Sherman; Major General Winfield Scott Hancock; Vice Admiral David Glasgow Farragut; Clara Harlowe Barton, volunteer nurse and founder of the American Red Cross; abolitionist Harriet Ross Tubman, who helped slaves escape the South through the "Underground Railroad;" journalist and orator Frederick Douglass. The pleasant surprise was not only extra old Venezuelan bill but also a dozen or so old stamps of different nominals glued to the face of the envelope.
