A very tall order given my budget.This device filled all my criteria and then some. The ear pads are nice and thick, it's as sturdy as it can be and still be lightweight and easily portable, stays on my head, the sound is so rich and full- definitely not tinny with very good bass, it cancels much more noise than in-ear devices- even with the sound off, the cord is a little longer than usual making it easier to keep my Kindle in a backpack or purse while in use and the earpieces fold inward making it as small as is possible for an actual headset.The sound deserves another mention, it surpassed my expectations. I've listened through some expensive non-portable headphones that didn't have sound this good. So the earphone cups sit slightly below the best placement over my ears.
