It arrived in perfect condition. Very smooth flip deployment straight out of the box. You would think it had a spring assist. The blade is perfectly centered and locks up with no play in any direction. The blade and scales are nicely finished with no scratches or scuffs. It was plenty sharp out of the box but not razor sharp. I don’t need to carry a razor in my pocket so I actually think its level of sharpness is perfect. It cuts paper smoothly and is a joy to use on apples and oranges. I don’t currently have any tomatoes to test it on but I suspect it would cut them smoothly. The blade is the perfect size to use as a pocket paring knife for fruits and vegetables (which was part of my reason for wanting a nearly 3.5 inch blade). It easily fits in my pocket and with the clip I don’t even feel it when walking or sitting. Very happy with this purchase!
