Spektrum RC AR8010T 2.4GHz 8-Channel Air Integrated Telemetry Receiver

This is the real deal from Spektrum. Works perfect in my gas powered Edge 540 - many flights on it with no issues. The servo ports are not under-sized - they are shaped for Spektrum connectors so if you have universal servo plugs you'll need to shave the corners on one side with an exacto knife - takes 5 seconds. I use the SRXL port to feed an Aura8 Flight Controller while running Throttle and Aux directly from the RX.

It worked as advertised! I installed it in the Freewing British EDF as shown. The only problem, and the reason for a four star rating, was that all JST plugs had to be shaved to fit as the openings in the receiver slots were too small for the standard plug, as seems to be common for all Spectrum items purchased at a discounted price.

I bought this product specifically because I wanted a receiver AND a satellite receiver with two antennas as well. I planned to use the receiver to bind the satellite to my transmitter and then move the satellite over to a micro heli project where it would plug into the flight controller. Instead what I got was a single antenna satellite receiver when the photo on the listing clearly shows a DIFFERENT satellite receiver. I will happily change this review if a satellite receiver is sent out to me quickly. The add does not mention the model number of the satellite receiver anywhere. Buyer beware... you'll only get a single antenna satellite receiver which is fine if you are using it with a receiver with other antennas, but not ok to use in a heli with a flight controller.
