Last year I experimented with white clover and though I like the clover, it does get tall enough so that it needs to be mowed. This year I experimented with this micro clover in an area that's about 2 ft wide and 7 feet long. It's been about 6 weeks since I seeded and it's growing in just as I hoped it would. It's low to the ground, very pretty, and so far no white flowers. I plan to use it in both the front and back yard. I'm glad I tried it. Review: Not so micro! - Like a couple other reviewers, this reached a MUCH bigger height for me than the 2-inch-or-rarely-6-inch claim. It's much taller than your standard clover found in many lawns. I planted in the spring and the germination was very good - I can certainly give it points for that - and it's growing well in the mix of sun and shade it gets. My soil is also heavy in clay, so I was glad it seemed to take well despite that challenge. It reached its expected height probably inside of 6 weeks, but once summer kicked off with additional heat and moisture, they just kept growing! Since they are tall, it's hard to pick out some of the weeds I am trying to suppress as well. I wanted a grass-lawn alternative, not the miniature forest I have now.
