Can be a little tough to get them flush but they do install with a little elbow grease.Brightness could be better. Yes they light up but are not bright.Also another problem is over time they start burning out. So far I have lost 2 Light Pods.1 had water in it. 2nd one started to get super dim then stopped working. Lucky I purchased 2 sets so I could have spares. I was planning on installing 6 of them but found that the harness is only 4. So I left the 2nd set out of the grill.
