Review: Great color and dimming LEDs - Probably one of the best 24V COB LED's I have tried. Very nice light for our shelves. Paired it with black 90 degree clip-on LED covers so that the LED tape would not strip the paint on my shelves if I needed to swap the color. Pros: 5-100% dimmable, works great. Super easy to cut and solder. Extremely even bar of light Wires easy to hide (24v vs 12v) Cut lines are close together Cons Needs higher wattage dimmer
Review: Great, even brightness - This LED tape is the perfect brightness for my application. I used it for lighting my workbench from under a shelf above the bench. At 24 inches away, it is more than enough light for detail work, and the color very closely matches the daylight coming in a nearby window. I have the tape mounted in an aluminum channel with no diffuser, just for the heat dissipation. There isn't a huge amount of heat, but the channel does get slightly warm. I have powered about 2M of tape from a 24V power supply, and it pulls just over 750mA, so I would estimate about 400mA per meter at 24V. EDIT: At the one-year mark, these are retaining their brightness very well, and I am about to buy another roll for under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen. After using them several hours per week for the past year, I haven't noticed any changes in brightness and there are zero dead spots.
