The replacement chair broke just the same. It’s that middle bar. This one hooked on to the front and back pieces. The piece still broke on is. No, it is not any kind of misuse or weight issues that would have caused this issue. We are grateful that at least tried to fix it for us! The chair is very nice, worth the price.The original chair broke at the base of the chair from rust. That was obviously already there. I reached out, they said within 2 week we would have a replacement sent to us and where very nice but not honest. It was NOT 2 weeks, but about 4 months the replacement. It looks nice it’s really comfortable chair and lots of arm room. The company tried to assist me and I appreciate that and means a lot to me and they even added an ottoman. Fairly easy to assemble, except that the crossbar needs screws (2) for assembly but none included in the package. I have plenty of those, so, no big problem . Surprisingly and pleasantly comfortable. Once put together, I sat down to watch TV and promptly dozed off. As for being sturdy, time and use will tell.
