For all my 69 years, I've always shunned and avoided IM injections at all costs because of the pain during the injection and the pain that lasts days afterwards. This COVID pandemic convinced me that I needed to get the vaccine, so I bought the ShotBlocker and used it at the vaccination site. The nurse had no problem using it, and wow I was, and still am, very surprised at the results. There was absolutely no feeling of the needle going in, but I'd been warned about the thickness of the solution that will cause pain when injected. I did feel the nasty pain of the fluid going in, but the pressure provided by the nurse pressing the device against my arm kept me from tensing the muscle. Immediately afterwards, I couldn't tell I'd even gotten an injection. I was prepared to be a little sore today, but so far there is no soreness at all. I'm one of the happiest people on earth right now! Every health care provider should offer them to patients. I'm actually thinking of getting caught up on my inoculations because of this wonderful ShotBlocker. I can't believe I even said that! Now three weeks later, I was so confident in this product that I updated two vaccinations a couple of days ago.
