Upon releasing the button it will read off of you accessory buss (key switch) whenever the bike is running for checking alternator output. Just connect C-1 (common) to your voltmeter, NC-1 (normally closed) to your hot buss (anything powered by the key switch for the bike, and NO-1 to you battery.
