The brushes reach every part of the straws to clean them nicely. They are extra long so they reach the bottom of my water bottles. I do wish that they came with a carry pouch so it was 'neater' to fit inside my purse for my kids drinks, but I'm on the lookout for something now. But the straws do what they are intended... multiple uses so I can stop using plastic and filling the landfill. The description did not say there would be a pouch so I knew I would not get one.
