One boot was perfect but the steel toe on the left boot was crimped slightly and each step caused pain on the top of the toes. Boots seem to be quality material and ankle part was open so boots were easy to put on and take off. I especially liked the little tab-like projection on the heel that can be used for leverage to take off the boots. Boots were not excessively heavy.
