However, the accompanying manual only provided instructions for curing a wood gourd, with no mention of a calabash gourd. When I reached out to clarify, I received no satisfactory resolution or explanation. Instead, I was sent a PDF version of the same manual for a wood gourd that I already had, along with a message (which I paraphrase): “Here’s the manual on how to cure a calabash gourd.”Upon further investigation (in the advert’s full description section - which, yes, I should have read thoroughly prior to purchase), I discovered that the gourd I received is indeed made of wood, contrary to the calabash description in the heading of the advertisement. This company seems unaware of what they are selling. While their initial response was relatively prompt, their subsequent responses were slow, incompetent, incorrect, and inadequate.Although I should have read the full description and not only the heading, there is nevertheless a conflict between describing the gourd as both “calabash” in the heading and “wood” in the full description.Despite this, I have decided to keep the item, as it is a very nice product. However, I have not been impressed with their customer service since I have not heard back from them again (am I being ignored now?). I had initially started a return on the item, but I am satisfied with its quality and appearance.
