Review: Fantastic value! Creamy application, good for any level or age of art hobbyists - I haven’t used these extensively yet; but I’ve tested several of them and I was very impressed with how bold and smooth the colors and texture are. I was easily able to apply it as a light shading like colored pencil/ crayon; or a bold vivid blending more similar to a paint marker, depending on the pressure and number of strokes. I was worried that for the cheap price of these, they would end up being more like crayons than oil pastels; but I was pleasantly surprised by the application and at how well they blend like a lot of the more expensive brands. These are a great purchase for artists of any level and even if you decide you prefer another more pricey brand; these are still absolutely worth buying and having as a tool in your art kit. I’ve bought them twice already for 2 art hobbyists couples in my family and plan to likely buy at least 2 more sets for 2 other art hobbyists because for the price, why not?!
Review: Great beginner product. - Looking to get back into art and trying to find a medium that inspires me to do things again, I've been attempting a number of different things. I haven't used oil pastels since the early 2000s and decided to try them out again - I had fun! I don't have a lot of experience with different brands but if you are familiar with the Royal & Langnickel brand, Pentel is much better. The ease of blending is there, where as it's non-existent with the R&L brand. The only down side would be the smell. It is a very strong smell and I would recommend letting it air out for a few hours before using them properly. Otherwise, I very good product and I would recommend it to those looking to try out a budget friendly oil pastel.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great beginner product.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My first Introduction to oil pastels, so I started off on the smallest size. They’re okay, not wow
*by C***A on March 30, 2025*

At first I was blown away and then I realized only a couple of the colors really stood out and maybe blended right. The yellow was scratchy, but it was my first introduction to oil pastels, I have seen the potential of this medium when it is used by an experienced hand with more colors and maybe even a couple blender dobs, also not sure how to remove it if I go “over the lines” or just want to change something because not all erasers will do justice, it can do much worse with a bad one but if anyone has any suggestions please post because I was so excited to try a new medium in art I’m getting burned out with adult coloring and want to get back into my inner creativity, so trying something new is the way to make that happen, Pentel is trusted but I have some Paul Rubens Maccaron set, and a vivid in my cart. I can’t wait to try these out bc the proof is in the photos and the reviews are very descriptive , leave it to another artist to describe his craft with utmost detail and in a way that I could envision myself using the product.. So thanks to the reviewers on Paul Rubens soft pastels, perhaps Mr. Paul R. himself will notice my shout out and gift me the set 🤭
