Without having much extra money these days, stuff like this matters more to me than most. I would assume, anyway.My 5 y/o loved the choices! And was excited to try it out! He just doesn’t really have the cognitive ability to mimic proportions and whatnot.Anyway, very nice to be able to access her books on Kindle! Will definitely check out more! I thought it would be a great entry level book on learning how to draw, and in that area it is wonderful. Even though there aren't that many characters to draw it still is a great little learning tool, and my daughter and I had fun trying each picture. I have found that I draw better freehand by looking at the completed character than I do step by step. I say this because in a step by step approach I tend to try to emulate too closely what the actual (good) artist draws, and just end up burning through my eraser. However, my daughter is just now learning to draw her numbers, and seeing that she can use simple numbers and shapes to create cute "Kawaii" characters makes her want to practice even more no matter how rudimentary her drawings are at this point. All in all I really like this book, and only wish it contained more characters for the dollar. Also, to help in this area the author's website (i believe) drawinghowtodraw.com is great for refernce and ideas.
