Review: Wicks work well but soak them first - I bought these wicks to use when I combine remant candles into new, whole candles. Last time I bought cotton wicks, but they didn't burn well at all. This time I went with these wood wicks. I soaked them in Coconut oil prior to placing in the wicks in the wax. The wicks light easily and burn consistently. They do not pop/crackle, but give off a nice ambiance regardless. As you can see in the pictures, I didn't have to double up the wicks. Nice product for the price, and the packaging is sturdy (no broken wicks).

**Q: Do these crackle? And what does seller mean by “combustion inducer” for use with soy wax?**
A: Yes it crackles, its wood. Combustion inducer with soy wax, its basically saying don't use 100% soy wax, most waxes even when they say its just a soy wax has some other types of waxes mixed in at lower percentages such as paraffin wax, which is a combustion inducer. Combustion inducer meaning combustion for the wick to stay lit. Also use two sticks for each 8oz candle. Hope that helps

**Q: can you stack the wicks to get a taller wick? im needing to put this in a bottle and wondering if i stacked the wicks if that would work.**
A: I don’t think this would work. Not sure how you would attach them to stack them in the wax

**Q: What type of wood are the wicks made from?**
A: Very thin wood, not sure of the type, but they don’t work! I even doubled them, to no avail! Did both without wax on and Even pour wax on top as someone stated. Don’t waste time

**Q: How thick are these? Needing something in the .01 range.**
A: not sure how thick they are but they are very thin and dont hold a flame at all

I overall like these, they do the job & you can't beat the quality for the price point. I'm going to try different wood wicks next time though because I want something that crackles more when burning. And you HAVE to use two wicks or the candle won't burn. Doesn't matter if you soak them in oil or anything, you have to use two which is pretty standard in my experience with wood wicks.
